Autoclave Inspection

An Autoclave is a pressure vessel with a quick actuating closure to permit easy loading and unloading of products.

Depending on their size and contents, Autoclave Inspection is required initially at commissioning and periodically thereafter.

Autoclave Inspection involves normal inspection activities as well as specific inspections on the quick actuating closures or swing bolt doors depending on the type of locking mechanisms in place.

The Autoclave Inspection often includes some form of Non-Destructive Testing to ensure there is no cracking on the structural parts of the closures.
